Terms

Last updated 10 September 2026

Tasks is run by a private individual as a spare-time project. The terms are short on purpose — there is nothing to hide in fine print.

Free during the beta

Tasks is in beta and runs on private hardware in Sweden. That means no uptime guarantee, no round-the-clock support, and a real risk of data loss in a failure. Do not put in anything you cannot afford to lose, and take an export if the content matters to you.

Account

You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the details you provide being correct. An account is personal — do not share it.

What you may do

Use the service for your own or your team's work, connect your own integrations through the API and MCP, and take your data with you at any time. The content you put in is yours. We make no claim to it and use it for nothing other than running the service for you.

What you may not do

  • Store or distribute illegal material
  • Try to access other people's workspaces or data
  • Load the service so it gets worse for others — automate by all means, but within reason
  • Use notifications to make the server call addresses it should not reach

In case of abuse a workspace can be suspended. If it is obvious and serious that happens immediately; otherwise we get in touch first.

Availability

The service is provided as is. We promise no uptime and accept no liability for lost data, lost profit or other consequential damage. The current status is on status.tasks.nu.

Termination

You can delete your workspace whenever you like; the content is then actually removed, not just hidden. We may shut the service down, but not without notice: you get at least 30 days and the chance to export everything before it closes.

Changes

The terms may change. Material changes are announced by e-mail to workspace owners well before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

Disputes

Swedish law applies. If we cannot resolve a dispute between us it is tried by a Swedish court.
